Every brand likes a refresh now and then, and for Confused.com, they wanted to add a group of friends to their existing character Brian the Robot. Say hello to ‘The Herbert’s! We were on hand to support Confused.com’s new direction with a fun project for Christmas featuring the cute gaggle of pals.
Confused.com tasked Koko with building a Christmas card app to spread a bit of Christmas cheer to their customer base, raise brand awareness and capture data. We needed to include the new Herbert characters in a fun way and add in a HTML5 video animation, in keeping with the brand.
At the time we took on this project, HTML5 was relatively new to the market so we jumped at the chance to incorporate it into this campaign! We developed a simple e-card app; users filled in data fields for capture and could send their card via Facebook (and share it afterwards for increased reach). The video anim and robotic sound effects were highly polished and FUN; a cheeky little penguin rolled a snowball down the hill that scooped up Brian and the Herbert’s! Ahh! Merry Christmas everyone!
