4 Gauge, fitness professionals introducing their pre-workout fitness supplement product to the market, wanted to make a big impact at launch so they called in the big guns of gaming development - us!
Brief
With any new product launch, brand awareness and customer reach is key, so 4 Gauge briefed us to develop them a cross platform, HTML5 branded game that would show strength of product, enhance the brand and increase data capture. We got to work flexing our creative muscles on a game that would hold up against the backdrop theme of power and fitness!
Results
Inspired by the 90's arcade game Streets of Rage, 'Load Up Your Guns' exploded onto computer (and mobile) screens with rave reviews! The side scrolling game offered character select and users defeated a group of 'zombie roid monsters' set on destroying a gym session (and we don't mean getting ripped!). We used comic strip imagery as a user tutorial and in-game features included collectibles like weapon power ups and health boosts. In order to enter the Load Up Your Guns competition, users submitted their score, and we added a shareable function for added reach.
